Testimonials
Get to know the friendly faces at Renaissance.
Kim Turner, daughter of Carolyn Kelsey
Kim Turner and her siblings knew their mom Carolyn needed additional care that wasn’t being provided in her previous accommodation — but it was still difficult to come to a decision. After experiencing the exceptional leadership and caregivers at Renaissance, Kim knows they made the right choice. “We can feel good about Mom being here because I know they truly care about her. The proactive communication from the community makes everyone feel so comfortable and confident in our decision.”
Dale Sult, husband of Geraldine
After caring for his wife Geri in their home for an extended period of time, Dale made the difficult decision to move her into the memory care neighborhood at Renaissance North Tampa. When he visits Geri every evening, he does not have to focus on every aspect of her care and can instead focus on spending quality time with her.
Rich Leger, son of Dianne Leger
Rich Leger and his brother knew their mother Dianne was in need of specialized care but had many factors to consider in their decision. Above all, Rich needed to find a place where he could be confident in the quality of care given to his mom. He found it at Renaissance North Tampa. “I’ve never seen a staff built better for handling the residents. They are unbelievable with my Mom.”
Yvonne Knecht
Yvonne Knecht became part of the family at Renaissance North Tampa when she decided to move closer to her children who all live in Florida. She had previously been living in North Carolina with her husband. After he passed away, she stayed in their home for a few years before making the move to Renaissance with her small 10-year-old dog, Angel.
“I’ve been very happy at Renaissance. Everyone is so nice and being able to see my children more often has given me such a full life.”
Marvin Leuschke
Since his wife’s diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s, Marvin Leuschke – a former Christian school principal – has continued his mission of serving others and sharing his faith. His wife Deana now lives in the memory care neighborhood at Renaissance North Tampa where Marvin spends each morning with her while still sharing his gifts by leading Bible study and participating in outreach around the community.
W.A. Johnson
W.A. Johnson had come to the realization that it was time for a change. She had several falls and after an injury, her children were concerned about her living alone. She found exactly what she was looking for at Renaissance – and even better, she felt instantly welcomed. “It’s a very people-friendly place! At first, I felt like I was in a commercial because everyone was saying hello and being so nice. But it’s really the way it is here.”
John & Sharon Mahoney
John and Sharon Mahoney first decided to check out Renaissance North Tampa because they were concerned about all the stairs at their previous community. Once they saw the beautiful outdoor setting at Renaissance, they decided to make it their home.
They were pleasantly surprised by all the fun activities they’ve been able to get involved with since moving in – playing bingo, watching horse races, attending happy hour and more. “They do different games and social events to keep our minds going so that’s good for us,” Sharon said.
Karol Taylor
Karol Taylor knew it was time to downsize from her two-bedroom condo while also realizing she would benefit from the helpful services and socialization opportunities provided at Renaissance North Tampa.
“I just fell in love with Renaissance. It’s almost like being back in a dorm setting because it’s very social.”
